Obituary of George Jenny Preston

George J. "Bubbie" Preston, age 82, of Tree Top Lane, Lake Placid, NY died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Adirondack Medical Center - Lake Placid in Lake Placid, NY. Mr. Preston was born September 26, 1932 in Lewis, NY. He was the son of the late Austin Sr. and the late Helen (Jenny) Preston. He was the husband of Catherine (Barber) Preston. Bubbie was a devoted husband and father and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of his life. He had worked for several years for Porter Construction, Lake Placid, NY as a heavy equipment operator and was an avid Nascar fan. He is survived by his wife: Catherine (Barber) Preston of Lake Placid, NY, two daughters: Patricia Preston and her family David M., Ethan and Rylee, of Lake Placid, NY, Betty Fortune and her husband George and their family Amanda Barney (Matt), Noble, Preston, Maezie Josh, Eli, Joseph, Izabella and Emmett; three sons, Michael Preston and his family, Jessica, Julius, Suay and Reagan of Lake Placid, NY, David Preston and his family Austin of Lake Placid, NY and Jason Preston and his wife Lisa and their family, Ireland, Nia, Danika and Landon of Plattsburgh, NY; one daughter in law, Wife of Ralph Preston Bubbie's predeceased son. Melinda Preston and her family Ben, Rachel, Justin, Maleeya, Mariana Makkai, Rebecca, Dain, Easton RJ and Novalia. Bubbie was predeceased by his parents, Austin and Helen Preston, one son Ralph J. Preston. Calling hours will be Friday, August 28th from 6 PM to 8 PM and Saturday, August 29th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home, Saranac Ave, Lake Placid, NY with Pastor Jim Koenig officiating. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to the Lake Placid Vol. Ambulance Service in memory of George "Bubbie" Preston.
