Elizabeth J. Seymour, better known as Betty, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Lake Placid, NY at the age of 87. Elizabeth J. Linehan was born August 24, 1928 in Albany, NY the daughter of Frederick and Olive (Rice) Linehan. Betty moved to Lake Placid with her mother, grandmother and uncle in 1947. Betty met and married Robert Smart in 1949. They had three children, Michael, Deborah and Robert Smart, Jr. Robert Smart predeceased his wife in 1973 and Robert Smart, Jr. predeceased his mother in 1977. In 1986 Betty married Kenneth Seymour. Betty is survived by her husband Kenneth Seymour; her son, Michael Smart; her daughter, Deborah Amis and her husband Peter Amis; her grandson, Bradley Amis; her stepdaughter, Laurie Skiff, her stepson, Jamie Seymour; her stepson Kenny Seymour and his wife Pam Seymour and their children, Tomas Seymour and Samantha Seymour. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes Church on June 2nd at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
