Mary Ida Palmer, 74, of Maiden Lane, Peru, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt. She was born in Plattsburgh on June 8, 1942, a daughter of the late Alfred and Ida (Martineau) Masella. She married her husband Gary on Dec. 27th, 1962.
Along with her husband Gary she is also survived by her sons Michael (spouse Cheryl) and Scott and daughter Cheryl Bushey; two grandchildren Peyton and Ronnie.
An avid reader, throughout her life she also enjoyed sewing and crafts and later on discovered outdoor digital photography which she loved to share with her many facebook friends that spanned across the globe.
A Christian mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 17, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Peru, N.Y. Arrangements are in the care of M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. To light a candle, order flowers and to share a thought or memory, please visit www.mbclarkfuneralhome.com.
