Daniel Owen Murphy, age 61, of greenwood St., Lake Placid, NY died suddenly Monday, January 30, 2017. Mr. Murphy was born October 12, 1955 in Hyannis Hospital, Barnstable, MA. He is the son of the late Edward Joseph and the late Agnes Marie (Billings) Murphy.
Daniel grew up in Harwich, MA on Cape Cod. He was a graduate of Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA Class of 1975. He loved to read, listen to the radio and work on his computer.
He was survived by his former wife Tina Murphy of Albany, NY; two sisters, Marcia Heusted of Crestone, CO and Ann C. Murphy of Alamosa, CO; and one brother, David Murphy of Denver, CO.
There are no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
