This guy took me to my first baseball game. Took me on my first trip to Montreal. Introduced me to Chinese food. Introduced me to The Rolling Stones outstanding record “Black and Blue”. Hooked me up with numerous amazing seats for Canadiens games and concerts at the old Montreal Forum. Came and presented a slide show to my 6th grade class of his African safari. Hosted numerous, generous family get togethers and saw Led Zeppelin twice back in the day. Thanks for the memories Uncle Dick! Rest In Power!!

I arrived in Lake Placid in 1977 and Dick became one of my first friends. I remember how easy going he was, always smiling and
welcoming to a new arrival like myself. Although 10 years my senior (I was 19), Dick was always accepting, hospitable and sincere. Being new in town during that period was not easy and it was guys like Dick who made me feel as If Id found a home and that I belonged. We enjoyed each others company, we had a lot of fun and I have fond memories of Dick during that period.
God bless you Dick, you played the game the right way, you were a good guy. You've made it to the next level and dont forget to keep the gate open when I arrive. Ill be looking for you pal......
