Beverly Anne Barry
July 8, 1949 – March 17, 2025
Beverly Anne Barry, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at Elderwood of Uihlein in Lake Placid, NY. Born on July 8, 1949, Beverly grew up in the Adirondacks and was a proud graduate of the Pius X High School Class of 1969 in Saranac Lake.
After graduation, Bev began her career as a waitress at The Lake Placid Club, where she worked until its closing in March1980. She then joined her family's business, Barry & Wilson Printing Company, dedicating herself to the trade until 1995. Yearning for a warmer climate, she made the move to Florida, where she found joy working at veterinary hospitals—an ideal fit given her deep love for animals. In 2020, she retired and returned home to be closer to her family.
Bev had a vibrant spirit and an infectious enthusiasm for the things she loved. She was a devoted movie buff with a special fondness for the Minions, a passionate football fan cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, and a true coffee lover through and through. Most of all, she was a source of laughter and love, always up for a good time and cherished as the favorite aunt among her nieces and nephews.
Bev is survived by her brother, Larry Barry and his wife, Kelly; their sons, Craig (Missy) Barry and Christopher (Tonya) Barry; a brother-in-law, David Randall, and his children, Heather (Chris) Neville and Scott (Melissa) Randall. She also leaves behind nephews Shane (Kristen) Barry, Jason Barry, and James Barry III; niece Shannon (Kevin) Rowe; and her dear cousins Brenda Moscatello and Debbie Dukett, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Bev lived with Debbie for four years prior to her passing, becoming an especially beloved presence in the lives of Debbie’s children, John (Katlyn) Dukett and Callie Dukett, who affectionately knew her as "Aunt Bobby."
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Florence Barry; her brother and sister-in-law, James Jr. and Kathie Barry; and her sister, Gail Randall.
Beverly’s warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will always remember her as someone who brought joy wherever she went.
A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Elderwood of Uihlein or High Peaks Hospice in her memory or the Tri-Lakes Humane Society in her honor, reflecting her lifelong love for animals.
