Obituary of Marc A. Lewis

Marc A. Lewis, 66, of Cascade Rd. Lake Placid, NY passed away at his home March 31, 2025. Marc was born June 27, 1958 the son of Calvin C. Lewis, Sr. and Margaret Ella (Strack) Lewis. Marc was an avid golfer and was a member of Craig Wood Golf and Country Club playing in several tournaments. Growing up Marc played softball in Wilmington and Lake Placid. He also was an accomplished bowler, bowling a 300, a "perfect game". He bowled in leagues both in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Marc was a true Adirondack outdoorsman enjoying trapping, hunting and fishing throughout the north country. He worked as a carpenter for Levitt Construction for many years and later for Beaney Construction renovating and building fine homes in the Adirondack region. Marc is survived by three brothers, Calvin C. Lewis, Jr. and his wife Kathy, Thomas Lewis and his wife Jill who predeceased him, and Jeff Lewis; two sisters, Debbie Cink and her husband Jack and Angela Escobar and her husband Dana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who affectionately call him "uncle crash" along with several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and one son, Zachary Smith. There are no services scheduled at this time. Services will be held at a later date to be announced. Burial will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery in the family lot. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in his memory be made to a charity of choice. The M. B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
