Steven David Bellew, 82, of Lake Placid, NY, passed away peacefully at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid on May 11, 2025. He was born on November 15, 1942 in Chicago, IL. Steve grew up in Mt. Vernon, NY, graduated from Syracuse University, and earned an MLA from University of California, Berkeley. He was an Eagle Scout and Captain in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was the founder and CEO of The Great Frame Up, a custom framing service with 140 stores. A fine art photographer, Steve travelled the country and world taking landscape photos and portraits. He retired to Lake Placid, where he continued to photograph the natural beauty of the Adirondacks. He was a member of the Lake Placid Synagogue. Steve is survived by his loving wife Susan J. Price of New York, NY and Lake Placid, NY and son Justin Bellew (Elizabeth Moser) and granddaughter Genevieve of Denver, CO. Steve was predeceased by his parents Jack and Mildred (Ribakoff) Bellew and sister Carole Bellew. The family extends their appreciation to the staff of Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake and staff at Elderwood at Uihlein in Lake Placid for their skilled care and compassion. The M.B.
