Linda L. (Thayer) Borden, 83, of Lake Placid, NY passed away July 31, 2025 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid under the watchful eyes and companionate care of her Elderwood family. Linda was the daughter of George E. Thayer and Genevieve M. (LaDuke) Thayer and the widow of Louis A. Borden.

Linda was born September 21, 1941, and the eldest child of her family. Her brother Larry R. Thayer predeceased her in 2018. Her other brother Frederick G. Thayer resides in Schenectady, NY. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Linda resided at the Greenwood for 20 years and most recently at Elderwood of Uihlein. She enjoyed nature, bingo, music, chocolate, and telling old stories. She loved to have a good chuckle and believed in laughter. She had a tremendous memory for dates and family tales. She was devoted to her faith and Mother Mary and attended mass regularly.

Visitation will be held at Reiss Memorial Chapel at Elderwood of Uihlein on Monday August 4th from 9:30 am to 10:00 am with a Mass of Christiam Burial to follow at 10:00 am. Rev. Paul Kelly will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
