Pamela Emily (Burch)Thompson, 66, of Lake Placid, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026.


She was born on July 2, 1959, in Rochester, New York, to Dwaine and Clara Burch. She grew up in Schroon Lake and Lake Placid.


Pam worked for many years as a nursing assistant and dialysis technician. She was known for the love and extra care she gave to all her patients, always making sure those who needed a little more attention felt seen, valued, and deeply cared for.


She had a deep love for bird watching, especially hummingbirds and cardinals. Pam also loved crafting and found great joy in making handmade gifts for her loved ones. One of her special talents was choosing the perfect musical card for every occasion—a thoughtful gesture that brought joy to so many.


Pam is survived by her eternally devoted husband, Steve Thompson; her daughter, Samantha (Nicholas) Rawls; and her beloved grandchildren, Liliana, Madison, and Rylan. She is also survived by her three brothers, her mother-in-law, four siblings-in-law, many cousins, and countless dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister.


A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at M. B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY. A private gathering will be held graveside at a later date.


Pam was deeply loved by everyone who met her. Her laughter and smile were infectious, and her devotion to her family and friends was truly extraordinary. She will be missed beyond measure.
