Alisa Jane Patnode, 72, of Lake Placid, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Lake Placid, Alisa was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Elvira Patnode. She was also predeceased by her cherished son, Rhys Wikoff.

Alisa is survived by her daughter, Morgan Miller; her beloved grandsons, Sebastian and Donovan Narvaez; her brother, Patrick Patnode and his wife Sue; her sisters, Camila Palumbo and her husband David, Janet Araujo and her husband Luiz, and Alice Bickford and her husband Steve; as well as her nieces and nephews, including Sarah Holzer and husband Brian, Matt Araujo and his wife Anna and son Alex, Mirra Wheeler, and Evan Bickford.

Throughout her life, Alisa worked as a retail manager and later as a court clerk. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and in her younger years, skiing. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, who were the light of her life.

Alisa was strong-willed, independent, and never afraid to chart her own course. She lived life on her own terms and her determination and resilience left a lasting impression on those around her. That spirit was reflected in the advice she gave to her niece, Mirra, when she was only a small child: "You can do anything you want to." Those simple words captured how Alisa approached life and how she encouraged others to approach theirs.

While she could be stubborn at times, it was that same strength that allowed her to face life's challenges head-on. She loved her family deeply and was always there when they needed her. The memories she leaves behind, and the lessons she shared, will continue to live on in those who loved her.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
