William (Billie) P. Fisk went to his heavenly horse ranch on 28 August 2026. Bill was born in Lake Placid, NY 14 September 1948 to Francis Bernard Fisk Sr and Isabelle Margaret Barry Fisk. He grew up in Lake Placid, NY playing hockey in the winter with his brother, Charlie. After graduation, he joined the United States Marines Corps. Where he served for 3 years as Lance Corporal in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he worked at the Lake Placid Club and coached Peewee hockey for about 10 years. He loved kids and working with horses. It was this love that drove him to work at the Barkeater Inn, Keene, NY taking position of stable manager, taking care of horses, leading trail rides and giving wagon and coach rides. Billie was happiest working with and riding his horses with his canine companions. His last years were spent in New Russia, NY working with his horses and spending time with his "adopted" family. Bill was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Charles Thomas, his sisters- Nancy Ann (Joseph Smith) of Lake Placid and Helen Mae (Leroy Smith) od Keene. He is survived by 2 brothers- Francis Bernard Jr. (Beverly) of Lake Placid and Robert Patrick (Linda) of Idaho, as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service held at St. Agnes Cemetery, Lake Placid, NY on September 4th at 2:00pm followed by an American Legion Prayer Service conducted by Post 326 Lake Placid, NY. The United States Marine Corps will provide military honors. He will be laid to rest next to his parents. Bill loved his country and his animals.
