Clorinda J. Zampieri, age 95, of LAKE Placid, NY died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Northern Westchester Hospital of Mount Kisco, NY. Mrs. Zampieri was born February 20, 1920 in Manhattan, New York the daughter of the late Michael and the late Leonilda (Femiani) DiTomasso. She was the wife of Edwin G. Zampieri, he died on June 4, 2008.
Clorinda and Edwin moved to Lake Placid in January, 1959 and were owners and operators of Santa's Motel in Lake Placid, NY. Mrs. Zampieri was an acomplished singer / vocalist and before moving to Lake Placid Clorinda had sang at various locations, she was a member of the Metro Opera, the Woman's Chorus, many orchestras and she also sang with Perry Como.
She is survived by one brother, Michael R. DiTomasso of Somers, NY and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 3 at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Saranac Ave., Lake Placid, NY. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery.
