We are sadden to hear of the passing of Connie. Connie and Ben built the beautiful home in Lake Placid which we enjoyed for 11 years. We also enjoyed running into Connie and Ben at the numerous holiday dinners. We would laugh at always running into them and would often sit at the same table. She was a remarkable person.

My heart and prayers go out to Ben, Mike, and her family after hearing word of Conni's death. What a great loss for you, the Lake Placid community, and all of us. Conni was a dear friend. I will remember her as a ray of sunshine who came into our lives full of love, compassion for others, devotion to her beliefs, and a special sense of humor. We shared many fun times that will always be among my most cherished memories. I will miss her but know that Conni is at work creating the most beautiful gardens in Heaven!

Lost a dear friend today, she has been the driving spirit for Community Beatification in Lake Placid, she and her husband have been part of my life since I/we were born. When I needed a job to do something fun, mindless, and not be beat up emotionally, mentally she was there for me, she taught me how to play in the dirt and have something beautiful come from it. It allowed me to do the landscaping for my house that Summer I worked with her and I had the best time of my life and got into such awesome shape to boot!!!! Maybe it's time to give it a try again, we'll see. Most importantly she's not suffering anymore and we have a wonderful great Angel watching over us all....... Connie and Denny are watching over Lake Placid, we are in good hands. Thank you Connie from the bottom of my heart for all you've done for me over the year's, I will truly miss you so very much, I love you........

"I give you this one thought to keep-
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone-
I am still with you - in each new dawn."

Dear Ben....my heart broke today when I heard the news about Conni's passing. What a woman! What a wondrous spirit, full of life and love and fun! I've never known anyone else quite like her, and feel blessed to have known her. I know you'll sleep with the angels, Conni, but right now I know you're having a ball in heaven visiting everyone!

I worked with the most wonderful Mrs Cross at Keene Central in the mid 1970's.
She remains one of the most dynamic people I have ever had the honor of knowing and calling friend. Her love of life, persistent uplifting laughter, and joyful presence will be missed by us all.It is with the deepest sorrow and everlasting admiration that Connie will be remembered by all of us who still love her. Ben you have my heartfelt sympathy...she was not a trinket, but a treasure. She will always be in my prayers with only the most gracious of thoughts,

"All I Really Need To Know, I Learned In Kindergarten." Conni planted many seeds in styrofoam cups, shared cookies and milk, read stories, sang, danced, laughed, loved, and taught hundreds of kids to look both ways and hold hands when crossing the street. She was an incredible inspiration to me, and though I followed in her footsteps, no one can ever fill her shoes! With gratitude for all that she has taught us, I offer my condolences on her passing and celebrate the great memories.

To Ben and Family
We are so sorry for your loss. Conni touched many lives as Keene Central Kindergarden Teacher. She was an excellent teacher and always lots of fun to be around. I taught First grade next door to her for many years and felt fortunate to have known her and had her in my life. She was one of the good people who made the world a better place.
