Cecile “Chickie” Dale (née Taylor) passed away October 14, 2020, at the age of 94. Chickie was born on June 1, 1926 in Lake Placid, N.Y. to her parents, Cecil and Calla Taylor. She graduated from Lake Placid High School. Chickie retired from General Electric in Syracuse N.Y. with 38 years of service. She moved to Chester, VA to live with her daughter, Jan Hadded, in 2007. Chickie never lost her love the High Peaks Region and introduced her children and grandchildren to the wonders of the Adirondacks. Chickie was a Born Again Christian and a member of the Community Wesleyan Church in Baldwinsville, NY, and most recently the Enon Church of God in Chester, VA. Chickie is survived by her son Sanford (Sam) Taylor, daughters Jan Hadded and Jane Zimmer, eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Calla Taylor, her brother Wayne Taylor and her brother John (Jack) Taylor. A graveside gathering will take place at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid, NY on November 6, 2020 at 11 AM. All are welcome to attend. The M. B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
