Jackie (Marie Jacqueline) Taylor, 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Rouses Point, NY on December 7th, 2016. She was born in Montreal, Quebec on May 12th, 1928, a daughter to the late Ruben Morris and Ida Gendreau. Besides making bombs at the munitions factory in Montreal during World War II, Jackie came to the States after meeting her husband, Harold Taylor, of Rouses Point. Since then, Jackie has worked for The North Countrymen and was owner of Taylor's Bowling Alley. Jackie is best known as owner of Jackie's Ceramic Studio. After retiring, Jackie spent the last 20 years as a volunteer driver for Cancer and Dialysis as well as being a member of the Rouses Point Womens Fire Aux. Jackie is survived by her four children, Jean Volovar of Champlain, Roberta Robin Lee Bennett and her companion Leroy Longley of Rouses Point, Harold C Taylor Jr and his wife Nancy of Cadyville, and Scott A Taylor of Rouses Point. Jackie is also survived by her grandchildren, Tina Cook of Plattsburgh, Wayne Tallman of Plattsburgh, Danial Bennett and his wife Stacy of Highgate VT, and Russell Longley of Highgate VT, her great grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, and Zachery Parah, Jenna Bennett and Gypsy Longley, and great-great grandchildren, Brantley, Brayden and Hunter Parah. Jackie is predeceased by her husband, Harold C Taylor Sr, her father Ruben Morris and her Mother Ida Morris. Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 11th, 2016 at M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a catered gathering for friends and family at the American Legion in Rouses Point.
