Tuesday, March 6, 2018Ellen was our friend since 1983. She kayaked, snowshoed, camped, and hiked with us. Her stores in Lake Placid gave so many people lovely objects and useful items to remember Ellen by. Her extraordinary inner strength gave her the ability to live, for many years, off-grid. The patients she counseled will recall her gentle kindness. Her friends will always cherish the moments shared with her and God’s nature, especially waterfalls. Our condolences reach out to her family.

Monday, March 5, 2018My deepest sympathies to Ellen's family and friends. I met Ellen just 1.5 years ago, first in yoga classes at Keene Fitness, then at book group. I was impressed with her grace and gentle, thoughtful nature. Our friendship grew slowly but steadily, and I was able to welcome her home from rehab on Dec 1 with a visit and delivery of fresh flowers, assorted groceries and an easy meal for later: frozen home-made veggie marinara sauce, angel hair pasta and grated parmesan cheese. I'm so sorry to have missed knowing her better. I share my condolences with all of her loved ones. Leslie.
