Sorry to hear about John, he was a good friend back in the early 70's. We use to ride motorcycles together. He helped me get my license to ride with him & Ronnie LaHart. I think he was also with me on the stage crew for Sing Out. We had some crazy times back then. RIP old friend.

Mark, I am so sorry to hear of John's passing.
I have wonderful and fond memories of when we were younger. That poem he used to recite "Woman, she's an angel in truth and a demon in fiction, a woman's the greatest of all contradictions...something about scream at a mouse but tackle a husband as big as a house!" it used to make me laugh how he would say it. Or the other one he recited in German and would do hand gestures! And hanging out with him, or going on motorcycle rides. I can never say I had a bad time when John was around... He was the sweetest guy. I'm so sorry we lost touch over the years. I miss those days... simpler times.
Rest in peace John, know you were loved.
