Champlain Marjorie M. (Castine) Duquette, 90, of Champlain, passed away peacefully Friday, March 29, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side. She was born in Mooers, NY October 27, 1922, daughter of the late Peter and Julia (Belrose) Castine. Marjorie was a life-long resident of Champlain and was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and most recently the Mooers Senior Citizens Club. After 25 years of service, Marjorie retired from Ayerst Laboratories in Rouses Point. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Homer Duquette on February 17, 1994, her brothers Fred, Lyman, Peter Jr., Roma, Marshall, William, George, Edgar, Victor, Edward and Elmer and her sisters Helen, Agnes, Laura, Bertha, Edith, Mary and Elizabeth. Her loving family includes her children Michael Duquette and wife, Kathy of Champlain, Joan Boucher and husband Claude of Waterbury Center, VT and Jane Kowalski and husband John of Glenmont, NY. Six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. Marjorie's family would like to thank the staff of Clinton County Nursing Home and CVPH Medical Center for the exceptional care that she received. Calling Hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2013 at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm Street, Champlain, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 2nd at St. Mary's Church, 86 Church St., Champlain, NY with Rev. James Delbel, pastor, celebrating the mass. Interment will be at a later date in the parish cemetery on Church Street. Contributions in Marjorie's memory may be made to Clinton County Nursing Home, 16 Flynn Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or to the Foundation of CVPH, 75 Beekman Street, Plattsburgh, NY.
