Obituary of Victor T. Narreau

Rouses Point Victor T. Narreau, 79, of Pratt Street, Rouses Point, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 9, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. He was born in Mooers, NY, January 5, 1934 a son of the late Peter and Olive (LaFave) Narreau. Victor was a life-long resident of Rouses Point, NY where he was very involved with his community. He served his country from 1953 to 1955 with the US Army. Victor was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2366, the American Legion Post #912 and the V.F.W. Post #1418. He married the former Claire Raymond of St. Jean, Quebec on August 27, 1955. Together, the couple resided in Rouses Point. Claire predeceased him on September 22, 2011. His loving family includes his daughter Nancy Irwin and her husband Bill Irwin, Jr. of Rouses Point, his son Victor Michael Narreau and wife Brigetti of Iowa, his grandchildren Alexandra, Nathan, Michelle and Danielle, and his great-grandchildren, Zander, Zoe, Jeremiah, Dylan and Megan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents and his wife, Victor was predeceased by his brother Paul Narreau, and his sisters Bertha LaDue and Vivian Tourville. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at St. Patrick's Church, Lake St., Rouses Point with the Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, pastor, celebrating the mass. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Contributions in Victor's memory may be made to the Rouses Point Fire Department.
