Heartfelt condolences to Tom's family. I worked for Tom in the early 90s as engineer at Dresser-Rand. He hired me in as a young recent college graduate with a lot to learn about the business. He taught me many things related to working with the US Navy, our primary customer. Even after moving on to other roles within the company, I often called upon things Tom taught me to help navigate the different challenges I faced. Will always remember Tom and will think of him fondly.

So sad to hear this news. Tom was one of my early bosses as I finished college and joined the workforce at Dresser Rand and taught me much early in my career that I will always be thankful for. My condolences to the O'leary family, he was a great man and will be missed!

Pat; I fondly remember the dinners in Corning and that special wine tasting trip you two hosted. And I was surprised by your wine cellar!
Though Tom and I came from from fierce competitors, we became friends and allies at Dresser -Rand. He was an excellant practical engineer. When we travelled together, it was always a good and successful time.
We'll all miss him

- RIP my friend. Tom & I became acquainted in Nov. 1972 when I joined Ingersoll Rand engineering force after my time in the Navy. Tim & I were both interested in innovative design and motorsports & shared many related stories over the years. He later was my manager in the Government group and was always reasonable to deal with, a great listener, willing the help & share ideas. I attended night classes with him & others toward a RIT BSMET and one winter night, after class, slept in his couch until the snow plow came down his street, so I could dig out my El Camino. I lost touch with him and several of my Painted Post fellow workers & friends.

I am proud to have worked with Tom for many years at Ingersoll Rand, then Dresser-Rand supporting the US Navy. He was a very knowledgeable coworker and cared about the people he worked with as well as those he knew outside of work. I will carry found memories of the days I knew and worked with Tom. My condolences to his loving family.
