My condolences to Mrs. Hart’s family. She certainly contributed so much to Lake Placid. I loved to have read that she was a flower and bird lover. May she rest in peace.

I so enjoyed having Ruth and Nancy at my Waters Edge home for tea coffee and wonderful conversation, Had a lot in common her and George spending time in Delray Beach and we talked about St Paul's episcopal church Delray Ruth was truly a remarkable women my God hold her in the palm of his hand. love Erica

Your mom was an amazing person. Lake Placid will miss her. When Kyle was planning his wedding he asked my mom if she would ask Ruth if they could have it in her rose garden. Your mom was so pleased. It didn't work out because we decided to have it in Newcomb but your mom was so gracious and sweet about it.

The world has lost a profound soul; Aunt Ruth's kindness, wisdom, and vivacity will be missed by so many. I remember looking forward to Uncle George and Aunt Ruth’s visits when I was young. I first met Ruth at the Lake Placid Garden Club, when I did a slide show for them. She invited me to a Republican Club meeting. I laughed and told her I was pretty liberal but I went.. When the Art Center was on the ropes, Ruth stepped up to save the Center and asked me if I would serve on the Board, which I did until my, Esme, my daughter was in auto accident.
Then Ruth nudged me meet Kathleen Carroll, who I remembered just slightly from our childhood. We were both in the orchestra LP Central School.
Kathleen and finally met as adults and we have been constant companions since. So Kathleen often laugh and say we owe many years of happiness to Ruth Hart.

I have a lifetime of cherished memories of Ruth, especially in recent years when we would have tea, watch the hummingbirds from her tv room and catch up. The photo I posted is from an especially happy visit a few years ago when my niece was married in the church garden. May we all age as gracefully as Ruth and leave the world a better place just as Ruth did!

Thursday morning having received a tex message from Nancy Beattie I wrote back...
Nancy - I have very deep mixed feelings. Yes she is in a happier place but I will miss her beyond words. Yesterday I held her hand for a time. As I write a tear, as I am in bed, rolled down my right cheek. When I went to see her yesterday I felt it might be my last time. But her spirit will remain with me forever. Ruth and I had a deep bond. Such a trooper she was. I brought her joy but she did that for me as well. To you, your family and the wonderful caregivers bless you all. With her gone there will be a hole in my heart. Peace.

Of all the wonderful achievements, foremost her family, and all her tremendous contributions to our community, I will forever remember with deepest appreciation that many decades ago, in emergencies and needing Dr. Hart, there was no 911, but there was the Hart residence phone number. Mrs. Hart would answer always calm and unfailingly gracious. There were many such calls over the years, and it was always so reassuring to hear her voice. What a gift to the panic-stricken caller.
Dear Harts, thank you for sharing your remarkable mother with so many us. Her memory will be treasured always with love and gratitude.
