So many memories of Sue are filling my brain. Most of them involve the international travels we shared. She was a whiz at making reservations by phone across hundreds and thousands of miles. She could sense that a hotel or restaurant would be a good fit for us or not good just by speaking to a worker at that business. This uncanny skill helped us have happy, well-organized, and light-hearted trips including Norway, Venezuela, Italy, Holland, England, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Aruba, Spain, and Portugal. Because of Sue I was able to travel to more countries than I ever thought I would. And her cooking! Oh my, I was happy any time I knew I would eat her food.
I'm sure Sue is traveling wherever she wants to go right now and still having the time of her life.
With sincere sympathy,
Linda Beairsto

Sue was a special lady. I met her five years ago when I became her neighbor. She was so kind and welcomed me with open arms. She loved my little dog Maisie and Maisie loved her. We visited almost every day. I enjoyed her laugh and many jokes. Sue always had a positive way about her. I loved how she just kept going through her health problems always trying to stay positive and grateful. She loved her condo and the beautiful views from her window. Barrie was always there to help her.I am so grateful to have known her.Maisie and I miss her.

I had the honor of working with Sue at Petrova Middle School. As a teaching assistant in special ed, I accompanied my students to her classes and shared in their experiences as Sue brought literature to life for them. Her passion was palpable.
Sue taught all three of our sons and they each remember her caring and positive approach to learning.
And, best of all, are memories of the travel club Sue brought to our small town school. There were innumerable trips to fascinating places like NYC, Toronto, Boston, Washington, DC, Philadelphia. No student missed out because of financial needs. Sue always found a way!
I was fortunate to chaperone many of those special excursions along with my husband and my mom! The memories will last forever, as I’m sure they will for all the kids who shared them.
Rest in peace, dear lady. You deserve it.
With love from Greg and Diana Hill and hugs from my mom, Helen, who adored you!

Dear Allison, Sam, Barrie and Favor J. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you and your family at this very difficult and sad time. Sue was a force to be reckoned with! An amazing woman and a wonderful human being. I can close my eyes and recall the day I met her. June of 1968, I believe. This adorable “picksie like” young Mom with her husband and two precious children. They had just located to Lake Placid as Favor began his Law career with Norm Hess. The rest is history which has sadly and unexpectedly culminated in Sue’s exciting full life, well-lived and loved by so many. I will miss her genuine smile, her kind nature and her joie de vivre. An exceptional gal. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Connie Rascoe
