To Scott's family: Please accept my sincere condolences. I was Scott's French teacher in high school. Scott was such a genuinely friendly, kind person. Even after the years passed by, whenever I would see Scott, he would always greet me with that big smile of his and a "bonjour, madame." It was a delight to go into the Christmas Tree Store just to see Scott. Rest in peace, dear Scott. Bronwyn Seal

Scott used to be one of our regular customers at the Wilson Farms in Lake Placid. He was always so pleasant and upbeat and his smile would light up the room. It was always a pleasure to interact with him. My condolences to Scott's family and friends. This world has lost another bright light.

My favorite memory of Scott was when we went to Busch gardens in Tampa. My mother sent us off on our own while she did things with my sister and we hit every coaster we could and then at the end of the day, Just as we're getting ready to leave the park, he decides he's going to play a ring toss game. I will tell you this game is absolutely rigged and nobody wins. Somehow he managed to get the ring around the bottle cap and the prize a 5 and 1/2 ft tall tiger that we then had to purchase an airline ticket for and then had to carry out through the park.
Then there was the time that we went to Universal studios with a handwritten note from my mom telling us that we knew the general manager. So Scott and I walked past hundreds of people waiting in line and handed this note to the person at the door who then produced the GM and they immediately seated us. All of that for BLTs.
Thanks for the memories.

A piece of my heart will forever be missing.
How incredible to have been blessed with such an enduring, profound friendship that so few know.
I will forever feel you by my side when I walk through Penn Station.
Every trip ‘ATL” will spur cherished memories of our carefree youth.
I will forever hold onto the sound of your voice, remembering our countless late-night conversations—both deep and silly.
I will always remember our secret handshake with a smile.
I have loved you unconditionally, Scott, and always will.

When Scott was a little boy he wrote his first letter to me. He couldn't spell aunt or Michelle so he wrote anut Marshall. From the point on Scott and Nick called me anut. The best nickname I have ever had. It has always been my honor to be called Anut. Love you with all my heart my sweet Scott.

Scott is an amazing person and I’ll always cherish his laughter, his jokes, and his incredible outlook on life. I attended school with Scott one year behind and we shared many fun memories together…from bon fires in the woods to small get togethers at friends houses. My last memory is of Scott giving my two year old Louie Halloween candy at his Christmas Tree shop this October 31st 2024. He was all smiles and so was my little guy. I feel blessed to have known him and I’ll always miss him. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Anna and Vika Gatker
