Jini and the children:
My first memory of Alan is watching him discuss with my father how to assemble a color TV from a Heathkit.
I think I was around 6; so he would have been 16.
Over the years, he taught by example, that:
you don’t have to be tough to be strong;
there’s no need to be argumentative to be persuasive;
and quiet competence earns lifelong respect.
He was a wonderful person.
