Kinston, NC-Wendy Walton Williams, 63, of Kinston, NC passed away Friday, July 5, 2013. Wendy was born May 27, 1950 in Lake Placid, New York to Forrest Walton and the late Ruth Whittemore Walton. Wendy grew up in Lake Placid, New York and also spent time in Syracuse, New York. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and following retirement, she and her husband, Burt, settled in Eastern North Carolina. Wendy was a member of La Grange First Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with the children. She loved working with arts and crafts, enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Burt H. Williams; four children, Jeffery Sears and wife, Dar, Missy Sears and husband, Derrick Dipaulo, Trapper Sears and wife, Stacy, Josh Sears; father, Forrest Walton of Lake Placid, NY; two sisters, Michelle Lacey of Lake Placid, NY and Cindy Rock of Kinston; three brothers, David Walton of Lake Placid, NY, Don Walton of Plattsburgh, NY and Scott Walton of Lake Placid, NY; along with nine grandchildren, Matthew, Tate, Kaleigh, Kyle, Jasmine, Alexis, Jade, Hope and Jeffery.
A service to celebrate and honor Wendy's life will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange, NC with Rev. Brad Mitchell officiating.
A private funeral service will be held in Lake Placid, NY at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home followed by burial at Central Cemetery, Jay, NY. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of Lake Placid, NY arrangements.
