G. James "Jimmie" Huntington passed away June 6, 2013 at his home in Orange City, Fla. with family by his side.
Jim was born on 04/27/1937 in Lake Placid, New York to Joyce (McGibbon) Huntington and George Huntington.
Jim graduated from Lake Placid Central School and went on to Albany Business school to pursue a career in Banking.
Jim worked at the Bank of Lake Placid for nine years, until he relocated to Orange City, Florida.
Jim loved animals and he found his true niche' when he opened and operated." Huntington Farms"', where he raised and bred Prize winning Standard Poodles. Jim was heavily involved with the American Kennel Association until his death.
Jim loved traveling, bird watching and visiting Lake Placid every summer. He enjoyed his walks around Mirror Lake and the Lake Placid Horseshow.
Jim was preceded in death by her father, mother, his brother, Terrance Huntington and David C Harris his lifelong partner and best friend of 55 years.
Memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to the Adirondack Community church or The American Cancer society.
A graveside service will be held at North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid, in August at the convenience of the family.
The M.B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid is in charge of local arrangements.
