Daniel Arthur Castine, 70, of the Ridge Road, Champlain, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY October 12, 1942 a son of the late William and Belle (Chenevert) Castine,
Art, as he was known to many, grew up in Champlain and attended school locally. Following high school, he worked as a dairy farmer on his family's farm, located on the Ridge Road, for many years. He was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary's Church in Champlain.
Art's loving family includes his brothers and sisters in the area and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 11th at St. Mary's Church, 86 Church Street, Champlain with Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, celebrating the mass. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery on Church Street. Contributions in Art's memory may be made to the Champlain Rescue Squad.
