Dear friends: How amazed I was to find that Alfreda was living and passed away very near my home here in Fogelsville, Pa. (Eight miles west of All entown.Many a night I remember listening to their band when I was growing up in Lake Placid. I travelled the same country that they worked in when I was playing guitar with the Perkins family. Donnie Perkins and I were great friends and as children used to fiddle and pick for change on the streets of Lake Placid. I remember Tilou and his fine fiddling. Such a small world and such beautiful memories. At the age of 78 I look back on much simpler times.
