Obituary of Anna Marie Gooley

Anna Marie Gooley, 92, of Elm Street, Champlain, N.Y. passed away Saturday, Nov 2, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, surrounded by her loving family. Anna was a long time resident of Champlain and is survived by her husband, Ronald, five children, John Gooley and wife Sandra of Milford, OH, Tom Gooley and wife Donna of Champlain, NY, Sally Cleland of Swanton, VT, Larry Gooley of Plattsburgh, NY, and Skipp Gooley of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by sisters, Dorothy Woods of Churubusco, NY, and Hazel Fortier of Plattsburgh, NY, Aunt Virgie (Mrs. George Lagree) of Churubusco, N.Y., and many grandchildren ,great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Watson, and grandson, Scott Gooley. Anna was St. Mary's school and church secretary for many years and also had a thriving cake business. Her loves were bowling, crocheting, playing cards, and baking for her family. Anna's first love was her husband, Ronald, of 67 years - she was the most wonderful mother and grandmother. Her kindness and sense of humor will be missed by so many who knew and loved her. As Mom would phrase it, "I hope that my obituary will be read by mostly girls and boys..." Calling Hours were on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm St., Champlain, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, today, November 5th at St. Mary's Church, 86 Church Street, Champlain, NY with Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, pastor, celebrating the mass.
