Ethel Mae Hoyt, 75, of Wilmington, NY, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 quietly surrounded by family. She was born Ethel Mae Davis on January 19, 1938 in Northfield, N.J. Mae was known for her lifelong faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was gregarious, full of life, a witty jokester with a great sense of humor. In a matter of seconds you would be fast friends. Her heart gave it's all to others in the strongest way. She was so much so many, beloved by all.
Mae leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Clarence Lewis Hoyt, sister and best friend, Sharon Zeising Gedicke, (Dennis) and her family, Albert, Kim, Jeff, Tori, Katherine, Zach, her daughter, Terry Lunsford (Leroy), grandchildren, Jody Cantrell (Chris), Steven Guaschino (Katie), great grandchildren, Kymberlee, Ethan, and Myla Cantrell and Barrett Guaschino, and an abundance of loving friends.
A memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 8487 Route 9, Lewis, NY 12950 on January 11, 2014 at 3:00. Condolences may be sent to C.L. Hoyt, PO Box 512, Wilmington, N.Y. 12997. Friends who wish to send flowers may send to the memorial location between 1:00 and 3:00 PM on Saturday or to 1141 Bonnieview Rd, Wilmington, NY 12997.
