Florence B. Greene, age 92, formerly of Greenwood St., Lake Placid, NY peacefully fell asleep in death Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Horace Nye Home, in Elizabethtown, NY where she had been a resident since Jan. 2011. Mrs. Greene was born March 21, 1922 in Sidney, NY. She was the daughter of David A. and Lorena (Cutting) Bowermaster of Sidney, NY. She enjoyed a rich, full, and happy life. One of her favorite past times was camping with her friends and family in a local camping club in the Sidney, NY area. Married to William P. Greene for 35 years, they had three children together. Sandee Seymour of Jacksonville, FL who predeceased her, David Greene of LaFayette, CO, and Bill Greene of Bloomingdale, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Paul Seymoure of Medellin, Columbia, Tammy Sue Hensley of Silver Springs, FL, Jessica Greene Casler of Wilmington, NY and Benjamin Greene of Lake Placid, NY; seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Private family services will be held at a later date. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
