Esther Marie Alice (Marshall) Aumais, passed away peacefully at Post Inn Village, in Oakville, Ontario on February 27, 2014. She was 92. Beloved wife of the late Gerard Aumais, and loving Mother to her three children, Denis (Chang Ming), Suzanne Aumais-MacAllister and Gerard (Virginia). She will be sadly missed by Granddaughters Katy and Jessica (Jamie Lynam), and Grandson Stephen MacAllister (Candie Walker).
She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Marguerite and Ferne, and brothers Donald and Frederick.
Born in Montreal, daughter of Elsie Senecal and Rene Marshall, Esther had fond memories of her summers in Champlain, NY at her Mother's maternal home; going to get ice cream with her sister Marguerite in a horse and buggy and riding the train with her Father. Esther lived in Montreal for most of her life, and then retired to Napierville, Quebec, where she and Gerard designed and built their home next to her brother, Donald.
A service will be held on June 21, 2014 at 3 pm at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm Street, Champlain, NY, with interment to follow shortly thereafter at St. Mary's Cemetery, Church Street, Champlain.
