Susan A. Hough, 68, of Lake Placid, passed away on Thursday, July 31st at the Adirondack Medical Center. Susan was born on March 7th, 1946 in Buffalo, NY to Sherwood and Mary Kaltenbach. She was the eldest of three children. Susan graduated from Lake Placid Central, class of 1964, and Bryant & Stratton College. Susan married Ernest Hough III on June 29th 1968. Susan enjoyed spending time with friends and her Granddaughter's. Susan was a loving, devoted wife, mother and outstanding Grandmother. Susan is survived by her brothers Richard Kaltenbach of Lake Placid, Gary Kaltenbach of Keene, NY; several nieces and nephews. Two sons who were her pride and joy; Lieutenant Colonel Trevor Hough and his wife Erin of Alexandria, Va., Ernest Hough IV of Saranac Lake; two granddaughters: Zada and Pearl of Saranac Lake and her loving and devoted husband, Ernest Hough III of Lake Placid,NY. A celebration of Susan's life will take place at the American Legion Post 326, Lake Placid on Friday August 8 at 12:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association of the Northeast, Waltham, MA, 02451. Relatives and friends are invited to "light a candle" and share a story or leave online condolences at www.mbclarkfuneralhome.com . The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in Charge of Arrangements.
