Obituary of Jeffrey E. Gibeau

Jeffrey "Luigi" Edward Gibeau, 66, of Champlain, New York, passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Tursday, August 14, 2014. Jeffrey was born August 5, 1948 in Plattsburgh, NY a son of the late Wilfred and Catherine (Duquette) Gibeau. On May 27, 1995 he married Shirley Gibeau in Mooers. He worked at Kimpex in Champlain NY, until he was unable to work anymore. He enjoyed his retirement fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoying life. He is survived by his wife Shirley and his four children, Hiedi and Jeffrey LaPorte and their two daughters, Chad Gibeau, Angela LaPorte, Katlyn LaFountain and her fiance Drew Brown, and Sadie Gibeau. His grandchildren Madison, Bella, and Alyvia. His siblings Wilfred (Butch) and wife Connie Gibeau, Judy and Bob, Kay Duprey, Debbie and Bill Roberts. William and Mary LaFountain, Ann and Mark Bushey, Theresa Konkoski, and Beth LaFountain He also left behind, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jeff was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all. A special thanks from the family to the staff on R5 at CVPH, Hospice of the North Country, and Dr. Whitman for their wonderful care of Jeffrey. Also, a special thanks to M.B. Clark funeral home for their guidance and care. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday August 23, 2014 at Christ and St. John's Episcopal Church, 8 Butternutt St, Champlain, NY, 12919, with Deacon Patricia A. Beauharnois, officiating. There will be a small gathering afterward. Memorials can be made to American Lung Association. Arrangements are in the care of M.B.
