Champlain
James D. Gamache, 76, of Moore St., Champlain, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 21, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Champlain August 7, 1938 son of the late Norman and Ann (Chenevert) Gamache.
Jim was a life resident of the area and attended local schools. He was a devout Roman Catholic and was a long time parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Champlain. He was employed with Luck Bros. Construction in Plattsburgh for many years.
Jim was a lover of animals. He enjoyed going to St. Anne's Shrine to picnic, gardening around his home and getting together with family for functions and holidays. One of his favorite past times is having morning coffee around town with his friends.
His loving family includes his sister, Joan Hughes of Plattsburgh. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his two brothers, Ron and Norman Gamache.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at St. Mary's Church, 86 Church Street, Champlain, NY. Interment will be at a later date.
