Edward James Lincoln, 75, of Cascade Rd., Lake Placid, NY and a winter resident of Lake Placid, FL passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY. He was born in Lake Placid, NY July 25, 1936 the son of Herman H. and Lillian Jane (Maynard) Lincoln. Ed had worked in Lake Placid, NY as a contractor for Lincoln Construction and later as caretaker for Camp Carolina on Lake Placid. He was a 23 year member of the Lake Placid Vol. Fire Department and during that time he was driver for a few years. Ed was a former member of the Lake Placid Jaycees and a #1 New York Giants and New York Yankee Fan. He is survived by his wife Beverly (Stringham) Lincoln of Lake Placid, NY and Lake Placid, FL; one son, Eric Lincoln and his fiance Bonnie Fitz-James of Lake Placid, NY; three daughters Debra Mary Laurito and her husband Robert of Fort Pierce, FL, Brenda DiCintio and her husband Chris of Stuyvesant, NY and Susan Jayne Devlin and her husband Matt of Waterford, NY. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Jason, Allison, Ethan, Christin and Roger and two great-granddaughters, Annabella and Jaelyn. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 27th at the M. B, Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY from 5 PM to 8 PM with a Fireman's Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 28th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Sears will officiate. Burial will be in North Elba Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests friends wishing to remember Ed make donations in his memory to the Lake Placid Vol. Fire Dept., Lake Placid, New York.
