Obituary of Jeannine A. Laurin

Isle La Motte, VT Jeannine A. Laurin, 49, of Bruley Rd., Isle La Motte, VT, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY June 15, 1965 a daughter of Francis X. Laurin and the late Rita E. (Pilger) Laurin. Jeannine graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 1983. She then went on to attend college at Clinton Community College and at the Community College of Vermont. She was a substitute teacher with Isle La Motte Elementary School for many years and was a one on one aid with Title One and Special Education Services. Jeannine was also very active with the Summer Reading Program and the After School Program with the Grand Isle School District. Jeannine served as Treasurer for the Volunteers for Island Safety and the Isle La Motte Volunteer Fire Department for many years. She was most recently head trustee of the Isle La Motte Library, and was coordinator of the VIS Annual Easter Egg Hunt for roughly 25 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and by the community in which she lived and served. Her loving family includes her children Damie A. Bruley and Mikey Bruley, her companion Roy A. Baker, her father Francis X. Laurin, and her siblings Robert Laurin and wife Deborah and Susan LaBelle and husband David. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Calling Hours will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm Street, Champlain, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, at St. Joseph's Church, Mason Road, Coopersville with Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, pastor, celebrating the mass. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Contributions in Jeannine's memory may be made to the Isle La Motte Elementary School. Arrangements are in the care of M.B.
