I really only worked with Oren once. Although that was 30 years ago, I still remember him fondly. I was the manager of the Mt. Van Hoevenberg X-C Area when the Lake Placid Horse Show was moved there because of the Airstream convention. Oren came out to help wire up all of the vendor and concessionaire stands - something for which there had no planning. Even without a horse show, the electrical service at the X-C Stadium was barely adequate. Nevertheless, Oren handled each unique request with remarkable creativity, ingenuity, and of course good humor even though a few days stretched well beyond normal work hours.
I'll always cherish that memory, and I'm pleased to be able to share it with you at this sad moment.
