Obituary of Evelyn Michelle Strack

Evelyn M Strack, 30, of Lake Placid, went home to her Lord on November 28, 2014. She passed at her home, from multiple illnesses. Evelyn was born August 28, 1984, in Saranac Lake and was the daughter of Rose Moon Strack and the late Leon E (Junior) Strack. Evelyn enjoyed telling others about Christ through letters, gardening, and drawing still life pictures. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and her beloved cats Klondike and his mom Blaze. In her evangelism, Evelyn's favorite Bible passage was Revelation 21:6-8. She wanted everyone to know what eternal life holds for all. The family would like to sincerely thank Evelyn's outstanding team of care providers - Marissa, Molly, Sarah, Lorna, Alicia, and Dr Elizabeth Bartos. Survivors include her mom Rose and stepdad Randall Collins, brother and sister in law Jim and Nancy Strack of Decatur AL, sister Rosie Kilburn of Lake Placid, sister and brother in law Lena and Scott Bradford of Liberty SC, brother and sister in law Leon C Strack and Christy Syler of Lake Placid, and sister and brother in law Karen and Charlie Tebo of Lake Placid, nephews Edward Tebo, Joshua Bradford, Joel Bradford, and Michael Riznyk, nieces Lydia Bradford, Sarah Bradford, Michelle Strack, Shannon Strack, and Sharon Leary, and her best friend Brad Corrow, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Leon and her brother in law Gene Kilburn. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, December 3rd from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lake Placid Baptist Church, Saranac Ave., Lake Placid, NY. A Funeral service will follow calling hours at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jeff Gray will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
