Ruth K. Ouimette Watson, 74, of 89 Greenwood St.. Lake Placid, NY passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Watson was born December 20, 1940 in Redford, NY the daughter of Edward and Grace (Drolette) Ouimette. She was the loving wife of Darwin E. Watson, Sr. Ruth and her husband made their home in Lake Placid living in the village for over 55 years. She had worked at Mirror Lake Inn, Lake Placid for several years and was a loving and giving mother to her six children. She is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Tyler, Brenda LaBrake and her husband Scott, Tammy Kilburn and Toni Herzog and her husband Tom; one son, Bret Watson and his wife Angie; 13 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Edward and Grace (Drolette) Watson, her husband Darwin Watson, Sr.; one son, Darwin Watson, Jr.; one stepson, Marvin Smith; two brothers, Edward "Gene" Ouimette and Roger Ouimette and two sisters, Beverly LaVair and Gloria Premo. Calling hours will be held Friday, December 26th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 27th at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid, NY. Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery.
