Obituary of Belena E. Mesec

Champlain Belena E. Mesec, 90, formerly of Champlain, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 1, 2015 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Champlain, August 14, 1924 a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (St. Andrew) LaPan. Belena was a life resident of the Champlain area and attended local schools. She was a fun loving, warm and happy individual who enjoyed yodeling, singing, jigging, and BINGO. She was always known for her warm demeanor and for bringing a smile to people's faces. Her loving family includes her children, Michele and Chipper Hurlburt, Kevin Mesec, Tammy and Jimmy Tetreault, Leshia Belrose, Rickey and Theresa Mesec, Wanda and George Chaney, Sheila and Paul Norcross, Bruce Mesec, Sandi and Brice Plantly, Barbara and Larry Rock, Gerald Mesec and Gary and Tina Mesec, and one surviving sister Shirley Morrison.. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and her husband, Raymond Mesec, Belena was predeceased by her sons Mitchell and Wayne Mesec and her siblings John LaPan, Joseph LaPan, Jr., Melvina Barker, Rita Goven, Eleanor Belgore, Ethel Hebert and Lucy Dominy. Calling Hours will be private for her family. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm Street, Champlain, NY 12919. Interment will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery, Prospect St., Champlain, NY.
