Obituary of Lorraine Loyce Bryant

Lorraine Loyce Bryant, 92, passed away February 6, 2015 at Adirondack Medical Center-Uihlein in Lake Placid, NY where she had been a resident for a brief period of time.
Lorraine was born October 22, 1922 in Lake Placid, the daughter of Raymond and Rena (Hayes) Bryant and spent her entire life in Lake Placid. She was a member of the Lake Placid High School graduating class of 1940. She was a lifelong secretary and office manager of Wilkins Insurance Agency until her retirement. She was an accomplished figure skater and trained under world famous Gus Lussi. She was also a suburb skier, enjoying skiing Whiteface well into her 70s.
Lorraine was a well-known animal lover and, besides rescuing and raising many dogs and cats throughout her life, she was a life-long supporter of many animal causes. Her final wishes were that anyone wishing to remember her, make a donation to Tri-Lakes Humane Society, 255 George LaPan Memorial Highway, Saranac Lake, NY 12983.
Lorraine was pre-deceased by her parents, three uncles and an aunt. She is survived by two cousins, Thaire Bryant and Raymond Bryant and close friends, Connie Rascoe, Rick Ashton and Sanford Hayes.
At Lorraine's request, there will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are in care of the M.B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY.
