Obituary of Mary Ella Agnes Peryea

Mary Ella Agnes (Farley ) Peryea 86, passed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday February 14, 2015 after a long illness. Born on May 13th 1928 in Lake Placid, New York she was the daughter of John and Leah (Lewis) Farley. Mary grew up in Lake Placid, and was the youngest of five children. She loved singing in the choir and being a member of the Adirondack Community Church in Lake Placid. She also enjoyed bowling, and played in a bowling league until she was 83 years of age, but her biggest love was God and her family. Along with her husband she owned and operated Peryea's Clothing Store in Lake Placid and later on Sherwood Forest Motor Inn in Ray Brook, New York. Mary Married Donald William Peryea on June 23, 1949. She is survived by two sons Dana of Ray Brook, and Larry and his wife Laura of Ray Brook, Two grandchildren Patrick and Jennifer Peryea both of Ray Brook, two sisters in laws, Mrs. Lois Peryea and Mrs. Doris Fell, both of Lake Placid, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald, three brothers, Robert, Bernard, and Joseph, as well as her sister Eileen Morrison. Funeral services will be held at the Adirondack Community Church in Lake Placid at 11:00 am on Wednesday February 18, 2015 with the Reverend John Martin officiating. The M.B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid, New York is in charge of arrangements.
