Obituary of Ruth Fitzgerald

Rouses Point, NY Ruth Fitzgerald, 83, of Maple St, Rouses Point passed away Friday, March 27th, 2015 at University of Vermont Heath Network - CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Lucerne, Switzerland on January 22nd, 1932, daughter of the late Otto and Rose (Stucki) Friedli. Ruth worked at Swiss Bank Corp. in New York City and eventually for Wyeth laboratories in Rouses Point, NY. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church choir for over 20 years. She enjoyed reading, travelling, classical music, family, friends, and going to the casino. Her loving family includes her daughter, Denise Lind and her husband, Scott of Vienna, Virginia, her granddaughters, Stephanie and Nichole, one sister Adele Achermann of Lausanne, Switzerland, one brother Otto Friedli and wife Rosemarie of Boulder, CO, and several brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. In addition to her sister-in-law and several nephews, Ruth was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Fitzgerald in 1998. At Ruth's request there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 20, 2015 at St. Patrick's Church, 138 Lake St., Rouses Point, NY, with Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, pastor, celebrating the mass. Interment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, NY. Contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to the Clinton County Nutrition Program, 45 Veteran's Lane, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
