Obituary of Gregory George Thayer

Gregory George Thayer, 34, of Lake Placid, New York, passed away Friday June 12th 2015, in Umatilla, Florida. He was born at Saranac Lake General Hospital on July 5th 1980. He graduated from Shawnee High School in Medford, New Jersey 1999. He had worked in construction, store management, as a butcher, and in the food industry. He was most recently employed at the Crowne Plaza here in Lake Placid. He enjoyed many activities from camping, hunting, fishing, biking, skiing, grilling, and motorcycling. Reading, music, and guitar playing brought him many hours of personal enjoyment. His favorite times were the hours he spent at the parks with his boys, his fan club of three. Not being able to see his laughing eyes and his ready smile or sharing his caring heart and gentle spirit has left an immeasurable void. He married Meagan Ricki on May 1, 2010 and they separated in September 2014. He had one stepdaughter, Taylor Lichtenberger and three sons, Gregory George, and twins Michael James and Steven Joseph. He will be dearly missed by his wife, children, his parents, Larry and Gail Thayer and his sister Jessica Thayer all of Lake Placid, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Calling hours will be held at M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY Monday, June 22nd from 5 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 23rdat St. Agnes Church at 10 am and burial will follow immediately after in the family plot at the Saint Agnes Cemetery.
