Obituary of Diane Marie Banks

DIANE M. BANKS Diane M. (Porter) Banks, 70, of Lake Placid, NY passed away on Friday the 24th of July 2015, at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She succumbed to complications associated with Muscular Dystrophy. She was a God-blessed, heaven-sent, generous, kind and faithful wife, and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Diane was born in Lake Placid on the 9th of June, 1945, the daughter of Kenneth W. Porter, Sr. and Isabelle Mae Moody. Diane has worked at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, the Saranac Lake Village Offices, and the Eden Park Nursing Home in Utica, NY. She is survived by her husband - Ted Banks, her sons – David Barney and Robert Barney and wife Sonya, and grand children Christopher and Brittney Barney, Jennifer Pabins and Kenneth C. Saint, and four great-grandchildren. Diane was predeceased by her daughter Susan Thurber, who died in November of 2012. Friends may call at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY on Tuesday July28th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm for viewing. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday July29th, at 10:00am at the M. B. Clark Funeral Home. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery. A reception for all friends and family will be held following the burial at the New Hope Church, at 207 Station Street, in Lake Placid.
