Obituary of Jacqueline Boone Wells Bovard

Jacqueline "lyn" Bovard of Lake Placid Jacqueline (Lyn) Boone Wells Bovard died Friday, October 2, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at CVPH. Lyn was born on December 11, 1935, the daughter of James Herbert Wells, Jr. and Roberta Roberts Wells in Evanston, Illinois. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Evanston, where she sang in the choir. She attended Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin. After marrying Richard Stavenhagen , she moved to St. Charles, Illinois in 1960, where they reared their three children. In 1976, she married Peter Carl Bovard and moved to Lake Placid, New York. She attended St. Eustace Episcopal Church in Lake Placid, where she sang in the choir. In addition to her second husband, Peter, she is survived by her three children: Katharine Stavenhagen and her husband Dan Nardiello of Lake Placid; Marianne Stavenhagen and Curt McGowen of Katy, Texas; and Richard Stavenhgen Jr and his wife Jennifer (Hovland) of Bloomingdale, New York. Lyn had three grandchildren: Matthew and James Nardiello, and Madeline Stavenhagen. Lyn's other survivors are her two sisters, Frances W. Hastings of San Diego, California, and Robin Wells of Oakland, California, and her brother James H. Wells, III of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Lyn loved her family, reading, and music. She will always be in our hearts and missed so much. Donations in Lyn's memory made be to Oxfam. A funeral service will be held 12:30 pm on Sunday, October 4 at St. Eustace Episcopal Church, 2450 Main St., Lake Placid, NY with Rev. David Ousley officiating. Burial will follow be in North Elba Cemetery. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
