Robert Raymond LeBlanc, 87, of Rouses Point, NY passed away on October 28, 2015 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) Robert was born in Shelburne, NH on December 15, 1927, the twelfth of sixteen children son of Lucien and Marie LeBlanc. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Josette (Beauvais) LeBlanc whom he married on October 6, 1951. He is survived by his three children, daughters Anne Carey and husband Bill of Rouses Point, NY, Leisa Baker and husband Chris of Plattsburgh, NY, son Michael and companion Julie Kirby of Rouses Point, NY. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, granddaughters, Melissa Forey and husband Cameron of St Albans, VT, Meg Welch and husband Tom of Jackman, ME, Olivia, Madison, Makenzie, and Kennedy Baker of Plattsburgh, NY, and grandson Bill Carey and fiancée Amanda Cudemo of Rockhill, SC. Also four great grandchildren Casey Forey, Hailey and Braidan Welch, and Leigha Carey. He is also survived by his brothers Francis "Pete" and wife Theresa "Terry" of Rouses Point, NY, Rudolph "Rudy" and wife Lena of Portland, ME, sister Marcelle Johnson and husband Erwin of Bullhead City, AZ, sisters in law Gemma of Longueuil QC, Florence of Westbrook, ME, and Joyce LeBlanc of Yuma, AZ, and Kathleen Beauvais of Plattsburgh, NY. As well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucien and Marie "Mary" Rose (Belanger) LeBlanc, brothers Lawrence, Maurice, Albert, Jean Paul, Jean Louis, Roger, George "Bib", Roland, Paul, sisters Lucille LeBlanc, Rejane Traynor and Margaret Scaringe, mother in law and father in law Annie and James Beauvais brother in laws and sister in laws, Joseph and Theresa Fennell, Howard and Suzanne Hurst, John and Irene Beauvais, Richard Traynor, James Scaringe, Susan and Rita LeBlanc Robert graduated from Rouses Point High School in 1945. He was a U S Navy Seaman 1st class from February 21, 1946 to December 24, 1947. He attended boot camp in Bainbridge MD and was stationed on the U S S Mississippi (EAG-128) in Norfolk, VA. He was employed by A N Deringer Custom House Brokerage from March of 1955 until his retirement in February of 1994 after 39 years of service. At the time of his retirement he was the supervisor of the meat inspection facility in Champlain NY. Robert was also a member of the American Legion post 912 in Rouses Point and was a parishioner at St Patrick's Church where he was actively involved. He was also very active in the Rouses Point Youth Hockey program. He was an avid hockey fan and loved to watch the Montreal Canadians play. Robert loved to bowl, play cards and do jig saw puzzles. Calling hours will be held at the M B Clark Funeral Home, 148 Lake Street, Rouses Point, NY, on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Patrick's Church in Rouses Point, NY, on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in St Patrick's cemetery A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Post 912, 29 Pratt Street, Rouses Point, NY.
