Obituary of Robert R. Emery

Robert R. Emery, 86, formerly of Rouses Point, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Meadowbrook Health Care Facility in Plattsburgh. He was born June 12th, 1929 in Irondequoit, NY, a son of the late Roldon and Margaret (VerCruysse) Emery. Robert worked as a foreman at Sheridan Ironworks/Harris Graphics for 40 plus years, and then worked as a bus driver for NCCS for 20 plus years, retiring in 2013. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. His loving family includes his daughters: Candice Scriver of Plattsburgh, and Bonnie Filion and husband Douglas of Rouses Point, his granddaughter, Holli Filion and companion Craig Roberts, Sr. of Rouses Point, his great-grandchildren: Daniel and Hailee Mae Jennette, and Neeley and Jason Clark, and his great-great grandchildren: Lexi and Calleigh Clark. He is also survived by his siblings: Joanne Favro of Rouses Point, Roselyn Argetsinger of Rochester, Gary and wife Patricia Emery of Goldsboro, NC, and Leland Emery and companion Madelyn Gamache of Zephyr Hills, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survived. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers: Richard, Wayne, and Donald (Mustard). At Bob's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A private burial will be held at the convenience of his family in Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are in the care of M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point, NY.
